Montessori Madmen

Advocating Montessori

We're an impatient, ragtag group of dads and advocates from around the world, united by a common zeal to bring the Montessori method to millions more. Our mission is simple: to advocate for Montessori education so that one day it's not called Montessori school; it's just called school.

Trevor Eissler

Trevor (The Maddest Man in Montessori) Eissler is the author of Montessori Madness! A Parent to Parent Argument for Montessori Education and several books for children. Trevor's day job is flying corporate airplanes. His three children are all Montessori students. Here is a fun video he put together about the difference between conventional education and Montessori education.

Daniel C. Petter-Lipstein

Daniel C. (Super Man) Petter-Lipstein is the instigator behind the FastDraw videos, and he writes passionately and provocatively about how Super Woman was already here (and her name was Dr. Maria Montessori).

Daniel C. Petter-Lipstein is the father of three children at a Jewish Montessori school in New Jersey. He graduated from Harvard College and Columbia Law School and after a decade still finds satisfaction as a lawyer.

Bobby George

Along with his wife, June, Bobby (The Doctor Is In) George cofounded Baan Dek, the first accredited Association Montessori International in the state of South Dakota, as well as June Books.

Bobby also co-founded Montessorium, a Montessori based education.

Arturo Ospina

Arturo (Iraq and Roll) Ospina is a Montessori dad with roots in Chicago and New York City. He believes in leveraging technology, new ideas, and networks to improve education and its role in societies in the U.S. and the rest of the world.

Bart Theriot

Bart (The Montessori Kid) Theriot is owner of the Montessori Academy at Belmont Greene. He is a Montessori alumni and a certified Montessori teacher. He is the father of 3 Montessori boys.

Mollie Stromberg

Mollie (Amen Sister) Stromberg, Chief Evangelical Officer, was a Montessori student and now a Montessori Mom at Drummond Magnet Montessori in Chicago. Her empathy for children who don't have access to Montessori fuels her passion to raise awareness, reform education, and ultimately build more quality Montessori schools.

Aidan McAuley

Aidan (The Real Thing) McAuley is a father and beverage marketer in St. Louis. He has stepped up to lead this ragtag group of MadMen to instigate, irritate, agitate, or whatever it takes, to offer more families access to authentic Montessori schools. Aidan is the husband of an AMI Primary Montessori Directress, and the father of three daughters in Montessori, all in the elementary program at Villa di Maria in St. Louis.

Todd Webb

Todd (The Curator) Webb is the father of two boys who attend Wheaton Montessori near Chicago, IL. By day a mild mannered software engineering manager and by night an avid reader of books, blogs, news, and magazines, he shares an endless stream of interesting finds on twitter.
